Route 146/146A Intersection Safety Improvement

Foit-Albert Associates, as a subconsultant, was responsible for construction observation services in support of NYSDOT - Region 1 in Saratoga County for the Route 146/146A Intersection Improvement project.  This is an assignment under a NYSDOT Construction Inspection Term for Region 1.

The Foit-Albert team provided regular and periodic observations during construction, inspecting all phases of work, including but not limited to, preparing daily inspection reports, reviewing plans, taking field measurements, performing soils and concrete materials testing, all to verify conformance with specifications and to calculate quantities for payment.

The project involved the construction of a new traffic roundabout at the intersection of state and county highways along with associated earthwork, grading and drainage, water, gas, electric, lighting and fiber optic utilities, signage, sidewalks and asphalt pavements, landscaping and amenities improvement.
