IT Technical Support Specialist – Buffalo, NY
Foit-Albert Associates has an immediate opening for an experienced IT Technical Support Specialist working in our Buffalo, NY office. The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for installing hardware and software in a business environment, ensuring the upkeep of computer systems and equipment, and diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that could disrupt daily operations. This role involves offering technical assistance to all members of our organization, checking, and updating drivers on machines, and coordinating with external IT service providers. Additionally, the Specialist is tasked with maintaining comprehensive records and logs of IT assets and installing software on each machine. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of internet security and data privacy principles, along with extensive knowledge of diverse computer systems and networks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to users and be the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices.
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).
- Update computer drivers.
- Install, configure, and manage software and their functions according to specifications.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance.
- Coordinate with outside IT services provider.

Civil/Site Senior Engineer – Buffalo and/or Upstate NY

Seeking a qualified Civil/Site Engineer with 8+ years of relevant experience to oversee design and manage a variety of private and public projects. Candidates will play a role in all phases of the projects from development of design concepts through construction administration. Foit-Albert is a multi-disciplinary design firm, and this individual will be partnering with architects, engineers, landscape architects, surveyors and support staff on projects. Responsibilities:
- Oversee design work for civil engineering projects that may involve site layout, paving and roadway design, grading and drainage design, stormwater management, sanitary sewer and water, and erosion control.
- Duties may include design, review, and oversight of conceptual layouts, construction drawings and specifications, design calculations and compiling reports, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, and other associated project deliverables.
