New York State Thruway
Foit-Albert Associates, as the subconsultant, was responsible for environmental tasks associated with the preparing for the improvement of the New York State Interstate-90 (I-90) between mileposts 284.1 and 289.3.
The scope of our services included environmental research and map review, environmental testing in the form of wetland assessment and delineation, and the associated reporting.
Foit-Albert Associates evaluated wetland-upland boundaries based on a three-parameter approach of vegetation, soil, and hydrology assessments within a 100-ft. buffer zone on either side of NYS I-90 between MP 284.1 and 289.3, a corridor comprised of roadside fields, open meadows, forested areas, and water courses that drain into Onondaga Lake in Onondaga County, NY. To expedite the project, we utilized handheld GPS in lieu of traditional survey.
