Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)
Foit-Albert Associates provided engineering and environmental services for the review and analysis of HVAC air filtration in sixteen-(16) facilities operated by the MTA.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently replaced the air filters in existing HVAC air handling equipment in multiple facilities with MERV-13 air filters, based on recommendations from the State of New York and various Federal Agencies. Foit-Albert’s professional engineers studied this installation and developed a report describing the effectiveness of the installed filters, potential impacts on performance of the existing systems, maintenance considerations, and to identify additional measures that may be taken based on current guidance from governmental and industry groups.
