Project Details: This transformational community revitalization project will positively alter the appearance of the Broadway market and surrounding commercial district as well. The main objectives are to: remove insensitive EIFS and tattered awnings, exposing the original brick façade underneath; restore the original concrete upper and masonry lower façades; design for a large permanent art installation onto the Broadway façade as part of the design; retrofit existing aluminum storefront system into the new façade; install weatherproofing to masonry expansion joints; replace any doors that are past their useful life; furnish and install new signage; provide new façade lighting; replace damaged concrete and paver areas along Broadway and add planters and benches.
Architects assessed the site conditions; researched the history and material of the site; prepared renderings and diagrams and are currently working on the construction documents.
