
Topographic & Bathymetric Survey
Foit-Albert Associates, as a subconsultant, was contracted to provide topographic and bathymetric survey for Southlake Dam in Haines, NY, Greene County. This is an assignment under an Office of General Services (OGS) term agreement.
Foit-Albert survey crews established horizontal and vertical controls and three temporary elevation benchmarks; completed a Topographic Survey of the dam embankment crest, embankment slopes, auxiliary spillway channel and downstream channel and surveyed the structural dimensions of the primary spillway riser and the outlet conduit. The surveying included riprap, concrete structures, site access, railings, manholes, pipe inverts, utilities, light poles, curbs, fences, well casings, soil borings, and tree line,
Additionally, a Bathymetric Survey of the lake was done and extended from the edge of water to 50 ft beyond the toe of the upstream slope.
