Pontiac Road Bridge Replacement
Foit-Albert Associates provided preliminary and final bridge design tasks for the Pontiac Road Bridge Replacement.
The original bridge was a structurally deficient, geometrically substandard steel girder and floor-beam structure and was replaced with single-span steel girder structure following nearly all existing vertical & horizontal alignments.
Foit-Albert handled: development of Scope Memo and design alternatives, hydraulic Analysis–HEC-RAS, environmental studies, Joint Application Permit USCOE/ NYSDOT, survey and mapping, sub- and superstructure design, detailed bridge design, contract documents (plans, specs and cost estimate) and construction inspection.
The new structure is designed to meet all structural and geometric requirements for highway traffic, traffic volume and load carrying capacity.
