New Hires at Foit-Albert Associates

Kieran Pierce has joined our Site/Civil Engineering & Landscape Architecture group as a Design Engineer. Kieran has 6 years of land development experience including permitting, field data collection, reporting and design. He is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geochemical Science and Mathematics.  

 

 

David DiLella has joined our Site/Civil Engineering & Landscape Architecture group as a Project Engineer. David has over 17 years of experience in land development design and construction plan creation for residential, military, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. 

 

Jeremiah Laurier has joined our Architecture group as a Senior Design Professional. Jeremiah is an experienced, detail-oriented architectural designer, job captain and project manager with a portfolio of workplace, hospitality, retail, residential and mixed-use projects. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from The City College of New York. Jeremiah will be working out of our Queens office.

 

Kerry Fikes has joined our Building Systems Engineering’s electrical engineering team as a Senior Engineer. Kerry has over 20 years of electrical, fire alarm and security design experience. Her passion is electrical safety, and she has conducted electrical safety courses nationwide for maintenance personnel, electricians, and EHS supervisors. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Foit-Albert Associates’ President, Greg Carballada, AIA, LEED, has been named to Business First’s 2023 C-Level award list. The 12th annual C-Level Executives Awards recognize Western New York’s most effective business leaders. Mr. Carballada joined Foit-Albert Associates in 1999 and became President in 2013. New Hires at Foit-Albert Associates

Brian Podleski joins our architecture group as a Senior Design Professional. Brian has nine years of design and construction experience working on a variety of educational, healthcare and corporate projects, with additional experience in I.T. administration. He earned his M.Arch degree from the University at Buffalo School of Architecture. He is working out of the Buffalo office.

 

 

Sumanth Thummala, joins our Architecture group as a Design Professional. Sumanth has over three years of architectural design experience with additional experience in marketing campaigns and outreach. He is working towards his M.Arch and MBA at the University at Buffalo, anticipated June 2024. He is working out of the Buffalo office.

 

 

Nathan Croscut-Miller, joins our Building Systems Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer. Nathan graduated from Alfred University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, minor in business administration, economics and mathematics. He is working out of the Buffalo office.

 

 

Serena Minix joins our Architecture team as a Design Professional. Serena recently completed her M.Arch at the University at Buffalo and also earned her B.S. Architecture with a minor in fine arts from UB. She was a Teaching Assistant for the past four semesters and earned a Master of Architecture Design Excellence Award in recognition of outstanding studio work in the Inclusive Design Graduate Research Group. Serena is working out of the Buffalo office.

 

Kurt Knoell joins our Environmental Team as an Environmental Scientist. Kirk has 10 years of experience as an environmental service technician in the water/wastewater arena. Kirk earned his B.A. in environmental design from SUNY Buffalo. He is working out of the Buffalo office.

 

 

Laura White, NICET III joins our engineering team as a Junior Engineer. She earned a Civil Engineering degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is an experienced Construction Inspector/Office Engineer. Laura has her NICET III Transportation Engineering Technology/Highway Construction Inspection certification, an ACI Concrete Field-Testing Grade 1 certification, and an OSHA 10 card. She will be working out of the Albany office.

 

Ameeruddin Audil, PE, joins our Engineering group as a Senior Project Manager. Audil is a senior civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in transportation design specializing in structural (bridges/canals/hydraulic structures) and highway design. He has managed consultant designed projects in addition to In-House design of bridges, highways and canals during both reconstruction/ replacement and rehabilitation of Thruway and Canal systems.  He is based out of our Albany office.

 

Caegen Burnett, L.S., joins our Survey team as a Survey Project Manager/Party Chief. Caegen is a licensed land surveyor with over 10 years of field and office experience. He is a graduate of Paul Smiths College Surveying Technology program and is an active member of NYS Association of Professional Land Surveyors. Caegen is also a drone pilot.

Dante Sandoli, AIA joins Foit-Albert Associates

Dante Sandoli, AIA, joins our Architecture team as a Senior Architect. Dante is a registered architect with over 20 years of architecture experience both in education and in practice. He has significant experience with sustainability and interiors projects in New York City. Dante earned his B.Arch from Drexel University and Master of Arts, Sustainable Interior Environments from SUNY FIT and is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Dante is a welcome addition to our Queens office.

Lucilia McAfee joins our Survey team as a Senior Survey Technician. She earned her degree in Civil Engineering Technology from FATEC-Sao Paulo State University. Lucilia brings 20 years of experience providing computer aid design support for civil engineering and survey, creating vertical and horizontal alignments for highways and roadways, generating profiles, cross sections and typical sections. She will be working out of the Buffalo office.

 

Elizabeth Decker joins our Architecture team as a Senior Design Professional. She earned her degree in Interior Design from Buffalo State College. Elizabeth brings 7 years of experience as a professional Interior Designer. Her experience includes concept/schematic design, space planning, rendering, design development, drafting, finish selection & specification, FF&E selection, FF&E procurement, and construction administration. She will be working out of the Buffalo office.

Andrew Nizolek joins the Site/Civil Engineering group as a Design Engineer, bringing over two years of field inspection and drafting experience to the team. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology/Environmental Science Immersion from Rochester Institute of Technology. Andrew will be based out of the Albany office.

 

Chase Everdyke joins our Building Systems Engineering group as a Senior BIM Designer. He brings 17 years of drafting experience across multiple trades and has experience with preparing as-built documentation, permit drawings, layout and location staking, 3-D coordination files, and has also deployed their symbols library and standards for drawing output. Chase will be working out of the Buffalo office.

 

William LaPorte, EIT joins our Structural Engineering group as a Design Engineer. William has nearly eight years of structural engineering design, assessment and inspection experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York and is based out of our Queens office.

Foit-Albert Named New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC) Growth Business of the Year

Foit-Albert Associates, Architecture, Engineering and Surveying, P.C. has been named The New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC) Growth Business of the Year, 2022.

Foit-Albert Associates, led by President Gregory R. Carballada, provides services for federal, state, municipal, and private clients. Its 40-plus year portfolio includes new construction, additions, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects; engineering for the site/civil, structural, transportation, environmental, mechanical, fire protection; and survey projects.

With the intention of growing the minority firm to better serve clients and empower employees, Mr. Carballada consulted the Columbia Harlem SBDC seeking information about opportunities for growth. With NYSBDC’s assistance, the business has had revenue growth of 100 percent over the last five years.

New Hires at Foit-Albert Associates

Heily Flores has joined the Engineering group as an Administrative Assistant. Heily has previous experience as an office manager and will provide much needed administrative support with engineering project and client record keeping, calendars, schedules, and more. Heily earned an Associates degree in Social Sciences at SUNY Orange Community College and is working towards a BA in Public Affairs. She will be working out of the Albany office.

Elisabeth (Lisa) Dahmen joins our Building Systems Engineering group as a BIM Designer. She recently graduated from Montgomery College with an Associate of Science in General Engineering and has previous construction management and BIM experience. Lisa will be working out of our Jamaica office.

 

Chun-Po Charng joins Foit-Albert as a Senior Design Professional. Po has 10 years of design and construction document experience as a project architect/interior designer for a variety of project types including mixed use, commercial, hospitality, hotels and residential.  Po earned his Master of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Po will be working out of our Queens office.

 Vincent Tordil joins Foit-Albert as a Senior Design Professional. Vincent is a registered and licensed architect in the Philippines, with 10+ years of experience in New York, Singapore, Australia and the Philippines. His portfolio includes projects in the health care, institutional, commercial, hospitality, transportation and residential sectors. Vincent earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Baguio, Philippines. He will be working out of our Queens office.

New Hires at Foit-Albert Associates

Colleen Lathey, RLA is a registered landscape architect with over 10 years of experience designing and managing projects in the public school sector. Her expertise is in the areas of site circulation, multi-sport complexes with artificial turf fields, outdoor learning areas, traditional and natural playground designs, site-integrated stormwater quality management features, site masterplans, new developments, and housing projects. Colleen will be working from her home office is in Syracuse, NY.

 

Linda Erler is joining Foit-Albert’s architecture group as Administrative Assistant where she will provide support with specs, DASNY paperwork, back checking comments, and more. Linda is rejoining the Buffalo office as previous 20-year team member before taking a brief absence.

 

 

Carolyne Bean, P.E. has joined Foit-Ablert as a Project Manager.  Carolyne joins our civil engineering group with over 15 years of experience, specializing in stormwater management and renewable energy projects. She earned her MS in Environmental Engineering Science from Syracuse University and her BS in Mathematical Physics from SUNY Buffalo.  Carolyne will be working from her home office in Syracuse.

 

 

Cory Mahoney joins Foit-Albert as a Survey Technician.  He has 10 years of experience in the office drafting, researching, and processing data, as well as field experience. Cory is also well-versed in GIS data acquisition and development. He earned his BS in GIS with a concentration in Advanced Geospatial Application from SUNY Cortland. Cory will be working out of the Buffalo office.

 

Fawn Perotti, is joining Foit-Albert as a Project Safety Manager.  Fawn is an experienced environmental health & safety professional and a certified OSHA trainer with experience in both general industrial construction and heavy highway construction. Her resume includes an extensive list of safety and construction site certifications, training, and licenses. Fawn is providing safety oversight and reporting for a New York State Office of General Services construction project, Capital Courtyard Roof in Albany, NY. She will be working out of the Albany office.

Andrew Braun, RA, LEED joins the Architecture team as a Project Architect. Andy has over 10 years of architectural design and construction administration experience on projects including aerospace, defense, large-scale residential and commercial facilities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from SUNY Alfred State College and is also an Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit. Andy will be working out of the Buffalo office.

 

Tatiyana Lima joins Foit-Albert Associates as an Administrative Assistant. Tatiyana recently graduated from SUNY College at Buffalo having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising. While attending Buff State, she worked at their Academic Center for Excellence as a front desk receptionist and social media manager, drawing attention to the center and engaging students to access its services and mentors. Tatiyana will provide administrative support for the Buffalo office.
