SUNY Geneseo Student Union Roof

Foit-Albert Associates provided architectural and environmental (asbestos) engineering services for design, documentation and construction administration for the full abatement and replacement of the MacVittie College Union roof.

The roof replacement called for replacement of an existing sloped roof deck topping system with new tapered insulation system.  This allowed the new roof system to achieve full energy code compliance without raising the roof level or tampering with lead-coated copper materials.

Foit-Albert provided daily asbestos site clearance services during abatement and also provided a full-time on-site representative to monitor work during the full construction period.
