Foit-Albert Named New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC) Growth Business of the Year

Foit-Albert Associates, Architecture, Engineering and Surveying, P.C. has been named The New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC) Growth Business of the Year, 2022.

Foit-Albert Associates, led by President Gregory R. Carballada, provides services for federal, state, municipal, and private clients. Its 40-plus year portfolio includes new construction, additions, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects; engineering for the site/civil, structural, transportation, environmental, mechanical, fire protection; and survey projects.

With the intention of growing the minority firm to better serve clients and empower employees, Mr. Carballada consulted the Columbia Harlem SBDC seeking information about opportunities for growth. With NYSBDC’s assistance, the business has had revenue growth of 100 percent over the last five years.

“As President of Foit-Albert Associates, I am honored to be recognized with the ‘New York SBDC Growth Business of the Year Award.’ I am proud of the firm’s accomplishments and wish to recognize our counselor Glamis Haro; she has been very helpful providing us with the latest information on federal assistance programs for small businesses such as loans and others. She is also very attentive to keeping us informed about upcoming events that can benefit our firms, such as small business matchmakers, outreach events, and building capacity workshops to help our business grow with the necessary tools,” said Mr. Carballada.

NYSBDC is the premier business assistance organization in New York State. They provide expert management and technical assistance to start-up and existing businesses across the state. The New York SBDC is administered by State University of New York and funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of New York, and host campuses.
