Civil/Site Senior Engineer – Buffalo and/or Upstate NY

Seeking a qualified Civil/Site Engineer with 8+ years of relevant experience to oversee design and manage a variety of private and public projects. Candidates will play a role in all phases of the projects from development of design concepts through construction administration. Foit-Albert is a multi-disciplinary design firm, and this individual will be partnering with architects, engineers, landscape architects, surveyors and support staff on projects. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual that would like to continue to grow their career while working on a variety of site, civil, and water resource projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee design work for civil engineering projects that may involve site layout, paving and roadway design, grading and drainage design, stormwater management, sanitary sewer and water, and erosion control.
- Duties may include design, review, and oversight of conceptual layouts, construction drawings and specifications, design calculations and compiling reports, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, and other associated project deliverables.
- Complete quality work within budgets and timelines. Collaborate with other project managers and senior staff on project status, schedules, and design and construction issues.
- Coordinate, delegate, and review work of junior designers. Mentor junior design staff.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, representatives of other governmental agencies, contractors, and clients. Coordinate with other consultants and local and state agencies.
- Conduct/coordinate construction administration and periodic site visits to monitor quality and work progress.
- Attend meetings with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
- Stormwater experience desired, including design of stormwater management practices and conveyance systems, analyzing watersheds, and green infrastructure.
- Experience in preparation of SWPPP’s desired. Knowledge of stormwater management regulations, including NYSDEC.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture (master’s a plus)

Must be experienced with New York State Department of Transportation Land Surveying and Mapping Standards and be proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, Microsoft Word and Excel, with a working knowledge of Trimble GPS, robotic total stations and data collection. Survey Crew Chief – Western New York

Seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief with a minimum of five years of field experience in Topographic, ROW, ALTA, and construction surveys. Must be experienced with New York State Department of Transportation Land Surveying Standards. Some travel throughout New York State may be required.
Responsibilities:
