Michael Pohl

Michael J. Pohl, PLS is the Vice President of Survey and an owner at Foit-Albert Associates. Mike has over thirty-seven years of field and office experience in cadastral/boundary surveys, GPS/GIS control surveys, hydraulic surveys, hazardous waste/landfill construction and monitoring, topographic surveys, construction layout, photogrammetric control survey, subdivision/map cover preparation and ALTA/ASCM Land Title surveys. He holds registrations in New York and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Pohl has been with Foit-Albert Associates for nineteen years and has intensified the surveying team through his many years of diverse experience in land surveying. His introduction of High Definition 3D Laser Scanning has given the company the opportunity to provide more services to clients.

He has been involved in a number of high profile projects including the HARBORcenter and Riverbend projects in Buffalo, New York, and Niagara Falls State Park.He voices his experience being two inches from the edge of the American Falls as "not an everyday experience."

One job that he is especially proud of is surveying to determine the exact center ice and face off circle of the old Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York, which was demolished and is now an open air skating rink.

Mr. Pohl has served on the Town of Boston Planning Board, the Board of the Niagara Frontier Land Surveyors Association, and is currently a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the Niagara Frontier Land Surveyors Association. He is a 1977 graduate of Paul Smith's College, where he received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Forest Technology and Land Surveying Technology.
